de las pesetas de los pueblos
esperamos sea de su agrado. Incluye los 3 reversos finalistas no escogidos, para el "Quarter Dollar" Puertorriqueño del 2012, de la serie de 56 piezas de los parques nacionales "America the Beautiful" Aproveche nuestro aún bajo precio mientras nos queden sets.
TRANSFONDO del PROYECTO:
Su anverso es similar a las piezas anteriores de la serie de pesetas de los pueblos,  casi igual al Quarter Dollar regular, excepto la denominación "Una Peseta", el lugar "Isla de Puerto Rico," y las frases "Libertad," y "En Dios Creemos," en español, y por último la marca de ceca "PRM
."
Los 3 reversos muestran los diseños finalistas: La Cascada del Yunque, el Coquí Dorado, y la Cotorra Puertorriqueña, junto a la torre de observación. Estos diseños no ganaron al mostrar diversas fascetas del Yunque por separado, contrario al reverso escogido, que incorpora los 3 elementos principales del Yunque: La cotorra, el coquí, y la selva tropical, precisamente 3 elementos
únicos
- que no existen - en ninguno de los otros parques nacionales en Estados Unidos.

ESPECIFICACIONES:
Consta de una pieza tamaño 24.5mm x 2mm, y peso de 7.6 gramos, con borde acanalado, y terminación en flor de cuño (Proof-like), la cual viene encapsulada en una pieza de fuerte plástico protector contra rayazos, la cual además le protege de que su plata obscurezca prematuramente debido a los elementos del aire.  La tirada total se limitó a 200 piezas, con terminación en cubierta de 0.999 plata pura. Llevan el año 2012.  Aproveche: sólo 200 piezas hechas; Cada set viene montado en una tira de PVC transparente con certificado enumerado. Jamás volverán a fabricarse.

Here you have a magnificent 3 piece set of pat'tern-like medals, based on sketches rejected for the design of Puerto Rico's EL YUNQUE Rain Forrest National Park Quarter Dollar, part of the 56 piece National Parks series, aptly known as the "AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL" quarter program.  Their reverses honors the Puerto Rican Parrot, the Golden Coqui, -both endangered species, only indigenous to this Forrest - and the Yunque waterfalls, an always effervescent drop of torrential waters that always welcome locals and tourists alike with its cool mist, making them miss -temporarily- the warm of the metropolitan area, specially during summer.
SPECIFICS:
Each piece on this set measures 24.5mm x 2mm, has a weight of 7.6 grams, and has reeded edges, just like the real thing. It is finished in pure 0.999 Silverclad, and comes in its protective plastic capsule, to save it from scratches, while preserving its silver tone from the inclemency of the weather. There is a total mintage of a mere 200 pieces. Each set comes packed in a 4 pocket transparent PVC strip with a certificate of authenticity, serially numbered.

El Yunque National Forest, formerly known as the Luquillo National Forest, and the Caribbean National Forest,
is a forest located in northeastern Puerto Rico. It is the only tropical rain forest in the United States. The forest is commonly known as
El Yunque
, which is attributed to the Spanish approximation of the aboriginal Taino word
yu-ke
which means "white lands" (there is a word
yunque
in Spanish, meaning "anvil" which has no relation to this setting). The second-tallest mountain within El Yunque is also named El Yunque.
El Yunque National Rainforest is located on the slopes of the Sierra de Luquillo Mountains and it encompasses 28,000 acres (43.753 mi² or 113.32 km²) of land, making it the largest block of public land in Puerto Rico. El Toro, the highest mountain peak in the forest rises 1,065 meters (3,537 ft) above sea level. Ample rainfall (over 200 inches a year in some areas) creates a jungle-like setting - lush foliage, crags, waterfalls and rivers are a prevalent scene. The forest has a number of trails from where the jungle-like territory's flora and fauna can be appreciated.
The forest region was initially set aside in 1876 by the King Alfonso XII of Spain, and represents one of the oldest reserves in the Western Hemisphere. It was established as the Luquillo Forest Reserve on 17 January 1903 by the General Land Office with 65,950 acres (266.9 km
2
), and became a National Forest in 1906. It was renamed Caribbean National Forest on 4 June 1935.
It is home to over 200 species of trees and plants, 23 of which are found nowhere else. The critically endangered Puerto Rican Amazon (
Amazona vittata
), with an estimated wild population of 30 individuals, occurred exclusively in this forest until 19 November 2006, when another wild population was released by the Department of Natural Resources in the municipality of Utuado's Rio Abajo State Forest.
An Executive Order signed by President George W. Bush on 2 April 2007 changed the name of the Caribbean National Forest to El Yunque National Forest, better reflecting the cultural and historical feelings of the Puerto Rican people.
Because Puerto Rico is south of the Tropic of Cancer, it has a tropical climate. There is no distinct wet or dry season in the El Yunque; it rains year round. The temperature and length of daylight remain fairly constant throughout the year. All of these factors provide a year-round growing season.
